BeeSave
Savings and financial planning
A goal-based savings app for families planning around education. Set what you are saving for, save toward it a little at a time, and see whether you are on track before the term starts.
The Problem
What it solves
- School fees arrive as a lump sum on a date everybody knew about, and are met by scrambling anyway.
- Money saved for fees sits in the same account as money for everything else, so it is spent on everything else.
- Informal saving — ajo, esusu, a tin — works until it does not, and none of it tells you whether you are on track.
- Fees are not the whole cost. Books, uniforms and transport arrive with them and are almost never planned for.
- A bank balance is a number, not a plan. It cannot tell you what you will be short by in September.
The Solution
How it works differently
- A goal per real cost — this term's fees, next year's books — each with its own target and date.
- Money kept apart from everyday spending, so saving for a goal and dipping into it are different decisions.
- Progress measured against the date the money is actually needed, not against the amount saved so far.
- A view of every goal at once, so a shortfall is visible in June rather than discovered in September.
Key Features
What the product does.
Goals with real deadlines
Each goal carries a target and the date the money is needed. Progress is measured against both, so being halfway in month one and halfway in month five mean different things.
Separate from spending
Saved money is held apart from the account you live out of, which is most of why saving works.
Automatic contributions
A standing amount on a schedule you choose, so reaching the goal is not a decision you make every week.
The whole cost, not just the fees
Books, uniforms and transport get their own goals, because they arrive with the fees and are what turns a planned term into an unplanned one.
Progress and shortfall
How much is saved, how much is left, and whether the current rate gets there in time — while there is still time to change it.
Activity you can reconcile
Every contribution and withdrawal recorded against the goal it belongs to.
How It Works
From setup to steady state.

What the money is for, how much, and when you need it.
